Government Services in Mul-Baiyer-Lumusa
There have been no new developments in the District since Independence apart from the Kwip Dau Secondary School and a few road projects in the Baiyer and Lumusa areas.

Most of colonial services exist to this day but in appalling states.
Among the notable Health services are;
- Pausa Health Centre;
- Tinley Health Centre;
- Kumdi Health Centre;
- Bukapena Health Centre;
- Tondomong Aidpost; and
- Kuruk Aidpost.
Education services include the following;
- Paglum Secondary School (currently rated at the top three in National Examinations);
- Kombolopa Secondary School;
- Notre-Dame Secondary School; and
- Kwip Dau Secondary School.
Other Government services include the Baiyer-Ramu (Madang) road project that will be connecting the province and the rest of the Highlands region with the coastal province of Madang when completed.
There is also a huge state land with high commercial value located at the Baiyer Valley (Kwinka-Ruti). Discussions and prospects are underway between stakeholders in trying to develop this prime land with agricultural activities.
The ever-popular Baiyer Sanctuary aka. Baiyer Zoo has been a top tourist destination back in the 80s and 90s.
