Churches & NGOs in the District 

We have a number of churches and NGOs in the District. They continue to work with the people in supporting education, health and social services as well as faith-based activities.

There are various Christian churches being spread across the District with the dominant one being the Catholic, Lutheran, Catholic, Seventh Day Adventist, Assembly of God, Nazarene and other Pentecostal churches.

There are two Catholic Parishes in the District;

• Kumdi Catholic Parish;  and
• Kuruk Catholic Parish.

The District has a number of church-run institutions. They include;

• Notre Dame Secondary School;
• Tinsley School of Nursing; and
• Paglum Secondary School.

These organizations play vital roles in the development of District in various ways.

We require volunteers to work in the District. You can contact us if you would like to work with us in philanthropic and volunteer work.
