Baiyer LLG is located between Mul and Lumusa. It starts at Negil and borders with Lumusa LLG at Tinsley.
Since it is located on a lower altitude with valleys near floodplains, much of the land is fertile with climate and vegetation that is similar to that on the coastal areas.
Baiyer is where the new Madang-Baiyer road will link connecting the rest of the Highlands region once completed. It borders with Middle Ramu District in the Madang Province.
The Office of the Member of Mul-Baiyer-Lumusa is supportive of the new road link.
Baiyer also houses the once-popular Baiyer River Sanctuary (Zoo). The LLG is also primed for large-scale rice and cassava production along the Matamb and Ruti Valleys.
